About Us

On leaving Art College, where Alison graduated in Fashion and Textile Design, she worked for a while in the Fashion Industry before moving into the gift business, where over the years she designed for many household names.

Alison has always enjoyed working with fabrics and whilst a student, in order to earn some extra money she produced a range of patchwork cushions, lavender bags and make-up purses that she sold through local shops and at market stalls.

In 1995, while expecting her son Aaron, Alison decided to pursue this love for making scented fabric gifts and so Scatty Cat was born, a name that came to Alison while watching her four playful Burmese cats. Now a well established business based in the picturesque Somerset countryside just outside the beautiful Georgian City of Bath.
